Verse 3 – What I like about this verse is Ezekiel’s faith. He didn’t say, “Yeah right, God, no way, these bones cannot possibly live again!” He showed faith in that he said, “ You know if they can live again Lord!” I like what the JFB commentary has to say, “can these bones live? … thou knowest — implying that, humanly speaking, they could not; but faith leaves the question of possibility to rest with God, with whom nothing is impossible.” Ezekiel was basically saying that it might be humanly impossible, but with God all things are possible! This is so awesome!
Verses 4-10 – God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones. So Ezekiel did as he was told and the miraculous happened! The dead, dry bones started to come together, flesh started to form! God put the Word in Ezekiel’s hands! Then God tells Ezekiel to prophesy to the wind, so that the breathe of God would come into these lifeless forms. He obeyed and they came to life! What an amazing vision to have! Ezekiel was facing a seemingly hopeless situation but God stepped in and promised to restore Israel just like the bones! Is there a situation you’re facing that seems hopeless? A broken family or relationship? A dry, dead, or lifeless circumstance? Prophesy to your situation and speak faith! Use the Word that God has given you! Relationship, be mended! Family, be restored! Cancer leave my body! Whatever your situation is God can handle it! Speak life!
